Guided Self-Help (Tier Zero)

What is Guided Self-Help (Tier Zero)?

Are you struggling to manage daily stressors, cope with worry or panic, or feeling low?  Our Tier Zero service may help.

We can support you through guided self-help for 6-8 weeks. You will have a qualified practitioner, who will work with you one-to-one.

The work we do with you will be based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, tailored to your needs.

How do I access the service?

You can refer yourself, or ask your GP or another trusted person to refer you.

You can refer in a few ways:

Call:     02920 402040

Click:   here

We can support you if you are a patient of a GP surgery in the SoutheastEast or North clusters of Cardiff.

Tier Zero is a service to support you with mild mental health problems. If you have more severe mental health needs, we won’t be able to help you through this service.

You can speak to your GP or phone 111 (press option 2) to access 24/7 mental health support.

What happens after I am referred?

We will contact you and book a time that suits you, to do an assessment of your needs. After the assessment, we will find a day and time that works for you, and start weekly sessions.

The sessions can take place face-to-face in your GP surgery or our offices, or remotely over the phone or online. We’ll ask you what works for you, at your assessment.
